What is it? A special service to promote fellowship and unity of purpose.
When is it? The first Sunday of most months.
What happens? We will all join together as brothers and sisters for a worship service at 10:00 AM. Prior to the service, there will be Bible Study/Sunday School at 8:45. After the service, we’ll join together for a delicious potluck meal!
What do I bring? Whatever dish strikes your fancy! Whether it’s homemade or purchased, hot or cold, there is a place on the table for your dish.
Does Scripture encourage this?
, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!” 1 Cor. 12:13
, “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.” Acts 4:32
, “And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them.”
, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.”
Where do I sign up?! No need! Bring your dish and your appetite, and come on downstairs for good fellowship and conversation.
Can I invite my friends? By all means! Let’s show each other and our neighbors what a warm and welcoming congregation Salem truly is!
