Salem Lutheran Church views children as a precious resource, given by God, and acknowledges its responsibility, along with parents, for their care and nurture.

Therefore, Salem Lutheran Church, in 1861, wanting to carry out its missions, established a Christian day school. Its purpose was to provide a safe, secure, and caring setting and Christian Education, seeking to expand on its purpose and program, has established an extended school care program. The extended care program is for children whose parents, due to work-related responsibilities, find it difficult to provide adequate direct or indirect care for their child immediately before or after school. In addition to providing for the physical care of children, the ECP provides settings and programs of Christian nurture for children and their parents.

Hours- 6:45 am – 8:15 am and 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm. The program will be closed when school is not in session, unless parents are otherwise notified. If an early arrival or late pick-up is necessary, please contact the director.

Enrollment – The Extended Care Program is open to any student enrolled in Salem Lutheran School. The program will be closed when school is not in session unless parents are otherwise notified. If an early arrival or late pick-up is necessary, please contact the director.

Those students who arrive before the school doors open or are not picked up within 15 minutes of school dismissal will be put into the Extended Care Program and charged accordingly. The ECP billing comes out on a weekly basis. Parent/guardians are responsible to keep all ECP accounts current.
